'Friendship Corner': initiative to start relationships

New Yorkers who are feeling a little lonely now have a “Friendship Corner” in Manhattan to start new relationships.

On the corner of 7th Avenue South and West 10th Street, in the Greenwich Village area, is this place that offers the opportunity to talk and network with strangers.

The initiative is led by Flash Pack, a group adventure travel company for single people between 30 and 40 years old.

Emma Green, Head of Public Relations and Partnerships at the company, says the corner will offer various social events.

She also admitted that she herself is looking to benefit on a personal level as she said that “New York is a pretty lonely place” and that since she moved last November “it’s been a big challenge to make friends.”

Flash Pack has also created a box of questions that can help start the process of getting to know each other.

This new Friendship Corner will remain active until the end of June.
