Gasoline once again exceeds the $3.50 limit in Florida, why is that?

MIAMI.- After several weeks of declines, the price of gasoline rose by eleven cents this Monday, reaching $3.34 per gallon, driven by the price of crude oil.

According to AAA spokesman Mark Jenkins, “oil and gasoline futures prices have risen for the past two consecutive weeks, raising the cost of producing gasoline.”

“The price of gasoline has increased due to data that indicates that gasoline demand is outstripping existing inventories,” said Jenkins, who said price fluctuations like this are very common during the summer travel season.

This Monday, June 24, in Miami-Dade, regular gasoline costs an average of $3.37 per gallon, the average $3.77, while premium gasoline reached $4.01 per gallon.

In Florida, the cheapest gasoline is found at the pumps in Pensacola at $3.10, Crestview-Fort Walton Beach and Panama City at $3.11.

While the most expensive fuel in the state is found in West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($3.51), Gainesville ($3.40) and Naples ($3.39).

However, at the national level, fuel remains stable and is trading at an average of $3.44 per gallon, at the same level as last week.
