Borussia Mönchengladbach’s sporting director Roland Virkus has commented on the squad changes in the foals. With Marcus Thuram (25) and Ramy Bensebaini (27), two top performers will leave the Bundesliga club for free. “When planning our squad, we keep the departures in mind as well as our ideas for restructuring the squad”Virkus says to the ‘Sport Bild’.
In addition, coach Daniel Farke is dissatisfied with the current constellation of the squad. Virkus further explains: “Squad planning at Borussia Mönchengladbach always works in consultation with the head coach. And it’s part of the process for a coach to voice his or her ideas, just like everyone else involved in squad planning. We want to add certain qualities to the squad that we think we’re lacking at the moment or that we’ll lose in the summer.”
