NEW YORK – Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Sunday that Company X owner Elon Musk is “not serious” about the fight they’ve been speculating about for two months and therefore “it’s time to drop” the matter.
“I think we can all agree that Elon is not serious and it’s time to let it go,” Zuckerberg wrote on his social network. Threadsa few days after Musk stated that the hypothetical fight could be held in a historical place in Italy.

Without mentioning that news, Zuckerberg explained that he proposed a “real date” to which Musk does not respond, and also pointed out his refusal to be organized “legitimately” by the mixed martial arts company Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
“Elon does not confirm a date, then he says he needs surgery, and now he asks to do a practice round in my garden,” added the boss of Meta, referring to a possible training in his private ring, according to messages published by both.

Zuckerberg’s apparent withdrawal from the challenge did not seem to sink in with Musk, who on Sunday in several interactions with followers of his social network X (formerly called Twitter) called his opponent a “chicken” and maintained that “tomorrow” he will knock on the door of his home to “require him to fight.”
