Hogwarts Legacy has been a hit with critics since its launch last week, and currently has almost half a million concurrent players on Steam.

Unfortunately, there are still many who report technical problems for the PC version.

The developer came up with a major update that reduced some problems with performance on launch day, and announces on Tuesday evening that a new one is on its way to PC and Xbox Series X.

The update for PlayStation 5 will arrive a few days later.

Neither AMD nor Nvidia has created a dedicated driver for the game on PC yet, and Gamer.no has therefore contacted both manufacturers to get an answer.

Joe Cowell, AMD’s PR contact for Northern Europe, says that they cannot comment on upcoming drivers. AMD has not released a new driver since January 24.

Jen Andersson, Nvidia’s PR contact for Northern Europe, has not answered questions about whether they are making a new driver.

Nvidia came up with a driver last week, but this only has a so-called profile for the game, not direct optimization.

Some modifications to the game have already been launched, where a couple of different NexusMods users have uploaded unofficial updates. These should reduce problems with chopping, but I have not tested this myself.

“Stuttering and low performance fix” and “Ascendio – unofficial FPS hotfix” are among the most popular.
