TV star Laura Wontorra moderates DSDS for the first time this year. In the interview, the presenter speaks openly about pop titan Dieter Bohlen.
Cologne – Finally DSDS again: RTL has been broadcasting the new episodes of the anniversary season since January 14th. After a two-year absence, jury veteran Dieter Bohlen (68) will be there. The pop titan has given the broadcaster great ratings so far. The jury is completed by ex-DSDS winner Pietro Lombardi (30), singer Leony (25) and rapper Katja Krasavice (26). Laura Wontorra (33) leads through the show for the first time. The presenter took over the job from her broadcaster colleague Oliver Geissen (53).
But how does the TV beauty actually cope with working so closely with Dieter Bohlen? After all, the music producer is not known for his harsh sayings and nasty remarks for nothing. “Dieter Bohlen is of course really very special,” admits Laura in an interview with Bunte.de. “You’re really in awe of getting to know him.” However, the “Ninja Warrior Germany” presenter does not explain exactly what she means with this ambiguous statement.

On the other hand, Laura speaks much more liberally about Bohlen’s jury colleague Pietro Lombardi. “I’ve known ‘P’ for a long time,” she says. “Not only about the Zarrellas, but also because we were in the same management for years.” The “Phänomenal” singer is close friends with Stefano Zarrella (32), the younger brother of pop star Giovanni Zarrella (44). Laura also got on really well with Leony and Katja Krasavice. “But the two girls were really sweet and accepted me very nicely into the DSDS family,” she enthuses.
She never expected that Laura would also moderate a casting show. “It’s a bit strange for me. I originally come from sports, then I do a cooking show first, then something with singing,” admits the brunette beauty. Since 2020 she has been presenting the VOX program “Grill den Henssler”. However, Laura looks at her wild CV with humor. “Then RTL thinks: ‘Everything she can’t do, she’ll moderate.’ And maybe that’s a recipe for success, we’ll see,” she jokes.
