CDMX.- The former First Lady, Michelle Obama confessed that the beginning of her marriage with Barack Obama was complicated because she could not stand her husband.
For the first time, the writer made statements about her private life, revealing that it took her a long time to overcome the challenges of marriage.
During the American program Revolt TV, the lawyer also appeared as a guest along with other women, with whom she recalled how her relationship with the former President of the United States has strengthened.
“People think I’m being mean by saying this, but it’s like there were 10 years where I couldn’t stand my husband. And guess when it happened? When our kids were little.”
Although it was a difficult decade for Michelle Obama, she also acknowledged that this time helped her see that if they both persevered they could build a good marriage.
“And for 10 years, as we were trying to build our careers and, you know, worrying about school and who does what or what chores, I was like, ‘Whew, this isn’t even going to work.
“After those 10 years, we’re still married, and I’m already 30. I prefer those 10 bad years to 30, it depends on how you see it. And people give up… at five years, I can’t take that,” commented the writer.
Currently, Michelle Obama is promoting her book “The Light We Carry”.
