On this occasion, the INE it adopted equalization and inclusion measures so that people with disabilities can effectively participate in the elections.

Consequently, for the first time, the electoral authority implemented a protocol that allows citizens with disabilities who meet the legal requirements and who have agreed to serve as civil servants to integrate the Board of Directors of Casilla to be exempted from the Second Insaculation, which gave As a result, 1,210 people with a disability are contemplated to participate, which represents 0.70 percent of the total.

“The insaculation is of the utmost importance since it completes the selection cycle of polling station officials based on the principle of randomness, an essential element of our current electoral model to guarantee the certainty, objectivity and independence of those who will receive and count the votes. of their neighbors and neighbors in the elections of Coahuila and the State of Mexico”, assured the president of the Electoral Training and Civic Education Commission, Martín Faz Mora.

In accordance with the provisions of the 2022-2023 Electoral Training and Assistance Strategy, on April 7, in a joint session of the Executive District Councils and Boards of Coahuila and the State of Mexico, the second insaculation was carried out.

In the presence of the electoral advisors, as well as representatives of the different political parties, the draw was carried out, which included 13% of the Voters’ Nominal List of each electoral section of both entities.

With this second insaculation, the works corresponding to the Second Stage of Electoral Training formally begin to integrate 24,562 voting booths: 4,060 in Coahuila and 20,502 in the Mexico state.

The lottery resulted in the designation of a total of 171,934 civil servants and officials of Board of Directors of Casilla; of which, 102,195 are women (59.44%) and 69,739 men (40.56%).

Of the total number of registered citizens, 1,210 (0.70%) correspond to people who have some type of disability; 494 are women (40.83%) and 716 are men (59.17%) who will integrate the Casilla Board of Directors that will be installed on June 4 in the elections of Coahuila and the State of Mexico.

The age range that predominates in the citizenship that was the result of the Second Insaculation is from 30 to 39 years with 19.65%, that is, 33,791 people.

According to the coordination schedules between the INE and the Local Public Bodies (OPL) of Coahuila and State of Mexico, the campaign for governorship and local councils in the first entity began on April 2 and will end on May 31.

For its part, the campaign to government of the State of Mexico It started on April 3 and will end on the same date (May 31). The inspection corresponding to the campaign period in both entities is carried out between April 2 and June 20.

In accordance with the schedule approved by the General Council, on April 15 the list of polling places will be published in the most crowded places of each electoral district and through the Institute’s electronic media.
