The 23rd International Towel Day will be celebrated on Thursday, May 25th at 8:30 p.m. at ACHNUS Film in Wolfurt.

Since 2009, numerous Douglas Adams and SF fans have also been meeting in Vorarlberg to commemorate the cult author Douglas Adams, who died in 2001. In the years that followed, May 25th established itself as a day of remembrance, on which the most important rule from the guide book The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, written with absurd British humor, is to be worn all day long. ACHNUS Film celebrates with towels, beer and peanuts on Thursday May 25th. This year we’re awarding the most beautiful towel of 2023, there will be the opportunity to draw a hitchhiker’s sign and chat to like-minded people about SF and British humour. In this way, something of the anarchic spirit in Adam’s works is to be rescued into the boring prose of everyday life. In his books, Adams turned illogicality into virtue and explained the galaxy in his own way. So don’t forget your towel and head to the ACHNUS Film MovieLounge (Fattweg 7, Wolfurt). Admission free!
