This Wednesday the match of the round of 32 of the Leagues Cup between Inter Miami and Orlando City took place, considered by many as the Florida classic, the match ended with a 3-1 victory for the Garzas team who advances to the round of 16 of the competition.

The preview of this match was quite critical, as fans of the Orlando team murals dedicated to Lionel Messi vandalized in Miamiso from the start of the game there was already a tense atmosphere between both teams.

This friction was seen on the field, especially with Messi, who seemed quite excited, going to the clash, talking and even kicking a few more. Something very unusual about him, He even got a yellow card just at minute 21.

After the match, the coach of Óscar Pareja from Orlando City criticized the night’s refereeing at the DRV PNK Stadium at a press conference. “There are a couple of plays that are double yellow for Leo, I don’t care if it’s him but he has to be measured the same, Messi should have been sent off today“, asserted the Colombian strategist.

On the other hand, he also implied that it was not fair arbitration during the match. “Things have to be fair and what happened on the field was not like that. Everything was a circus today”sentenced the coach of the Florida team.

One of the most controversial plays of the match was the penalty awarded to Inter Miami in the 51st minute. Coach Pareja did not hesitate to also criticize that decision, wrong for him, by the referee.

“The message is not clear. the game does not deserve a penalty like that. Those plays have influence, we are very frustrated. People want to watch football and the referee has to be fair. This did not happen today”, exclaimed the strategist for the penalty sentenced on Josef Martínez, which the same player took for the 2-0 part of the match.

For now Inter with the classification in hand will face Dallas FC who comes from eliminating the Mexican team from Mazatlán. The match will take place next Sunday, August 6, at the Toyota Stadium in the Texan city of Dallas.
