The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made it clear through their spokesperson that they will not attack the creators of the comedy show after a mocking episode aired last week.

Harry and Meghan are self-deprecating. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced, through a spokesperson quoted by several media including People, that they will not file a complaint against South Park – contrary to what some British newspapers had announced.

“We don’t care about this stupid prince”

The series ridicules Harry and Meghan who constantly claim respect for their privacy, while spreading details on Netflix very intimate on them. South Park also mocks Harry’s memoir, The Alternaterenamed here Waaaagh. “We don’t give a damn about this stupid prince and his stupid wife,” Stan says.

South Park often seizes the news to make fun of it. Last year, the anime series had been the first to broach the subject of the war in Ukraine. Entitled Back to the Cold Warthis episode openly mocked Vladimir Putin.
