In the music video for the song “Video Games”, animated versions of Jack Black and Kyle Gass start the song normally in a studio, but as the lyrics progress, things get more and more chaotic and bright.
The references start with Gass being crushed by a Troll from God of War while Black runs away and ends up falling in the middle of Fallout 4. In the rest of the clip, the duo transforms into characters like Sonic and Tails, cowboys from Red Dead Redemption and among others. .
When sharing the music video on Twitter, Black commented that it was “a lot of fun” creating the project and this is reflected in the fantastic result.
As for the actor’s other musical projects, his hit “Peaches” from the Super Mario Bros. marked the artist’s first solo entry on the Billboard Hot 100.
Peaches was made in collaboration with Black as a late addition to the Super Mario Bros. and – something that is frankly unthinkable now – was not present in the film’s initial draft.
