Japan.- Pharmacological abortion will be available for the first time in Japan, after the Ministry of Health has approved a medication that allows you to interrupt embarrassments in temporary periods, informs Kyodo.

The Health Care package comes with a good visa to the medicine Mefeego Pack, from the British Pharmaceutical Linepharma, which requested entry into the market on December 2021.

Administered orally in two stages, the treatment with mifepristone and misoprostol is used to put an end to embarrassments lasting up to nine weeks and is considered a safer method than surgical intervention, until now the only option to abort in Japan.

The medicine, which, according to its manufacturer, is available in 80 countries, will cost, including a medical consultation, around 100,000 yen (734 dollars), informs AFP.

Surgical abortions, which are legal in Japan up to 22 weeks, usually require the consent of the couple and their price oscillates between 100,000 and 200,000 yen.
