He Municipal Entity for Tourist Activity (EMATUR) published a report on Monday in which La Plata had a high rate of hotel occupancy during the Easter weekend.

“Thanks to a sustained policy promoted by the Municipality as part of its economic reactivation plan, La Plata continues to consolidate itself strongly as a destination for incoming tourism”highlighted the head of EMATUR, daniel loyola.

According to indicators released by the local agency, hotels and lodgings exceeded 75% occupancybeing those located in the vicinity of the San Martin Plaza the most demanded.

The visitors came mainly from different parts of the Greater Buenos Aires and various Argentine provinces. Citizens also arrived foreign and the Federal Capital.

“The figures released every long weekend continue to reaffirm that the joint work we do throughout the year between the public and private sectors manage to turn the city into a tourist pole”valued loyola.

In addition to the usual tourist spots that La Plata has, during Holy Week a multitude of people came summoned by the festival La Plata Dances Tango.
