PARS.- The American pop singer Lady Gaga interpret My feather thing, by Zizi Jeanmaire, emblematic song of French music hall, this Friday – July 26 – at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games-2024.
“It is a great honour to have sung for you and to have encouraged you,” he said in a lengthy message posted on social media, addressed to the organisers and athletes of Paris-2024.
Lady Gaga had already sung in French La vie en rosea classic by Edith Piaf, in the film A star has been born in 2018.
Zizi Jeanmaire, who died in 2020, remained one of the voices of a brazen and uninhibited Paris.
“I am very touched to have received the proposal from the Olympic Committee to sing such a unique French song, a song in honour of the French people and their incredible artistic history,” said the singer and actress.
“Even though I’m not a French artist, I’ve always felt a very special connection with the French and singing in French,” Lady Gaga continued.
He also sent a message of encouragement to all athletes participating in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which will end on August 11.
