La French Tech brings its solutions to CES

France is the first foreign delegation to the Las Vegas show. Anthony Morel has therefore selected some French innovations in his Culture Geek column. A total of 170 companies traveled to the United States to showcase their solutions.

“Innovation often sticks to the news. This year, there are therefore a lot of innovations on the subject of the energy crisis, to find out how we are going to heat ourselves in the future”, indicates Anthony Morel before mentioning the air purification or health problems.

Put an end to snoring with a pillow

With its pillow, the South Korean company 10minds promises to prevent you from snoring. The object is accompanied by a sound sensor. “When you start snoring, our system will detect it,” said Daehyun Kim, a representative of the company, adding that the machine can differentiate noises from a possible partner or a dog.

The four airbags located inside the pillow are then activated. By alternately inflating and deflating, the snorer’s head will turn to the side. This mechanism clears the airways and therefore stops snoring.

An oven to film and broadcast the cooking of your dishes

Samsung has placed a camera in its new oven. The objective is to boost the device with artificial intelligence sauce. Thus, the brand’s Bespoke AI Oven model is able to recognize the food you put in it. For each of the 80 dishes and ingredients it can detect, the oven recommends a temperature and cooking time.

But the use of the camera does not stop there. In addition to identifying your menu, the device offers to film the interior view of the oven. Better, these images can be shared and broadcast live on social networks. The sale of the model is scheduled for the third quarter of 2023.

Withings inaugurates the long series of presentations that will punctuate the next few days. The French company has developed U-Scan, a device to analyze one’s urine. Known for its connected watches, the French company now wants to revolutionize your toilets with a gadget to place directly at the bottom of your bowl.

The device automatically collects a sample when the user defecates and transmits their results via an app. Depending on the analysis cartridge integrated into the product, it is possible to obtain information on the impact of its diet and hydration. A cartridge also allows you to follow your menstrual cycle.

The marketing of U-Scan is planned for the second quarter in Europe for nearly 500 euros.
