Security is an increasingly important issue, both for companies and end users. Accordingly, Apple is constantly expanding the protective functions of the operating systems, iOS 16 and macOS 13 alone bring a long list of innovations. It ranges from extensive end-to-end encryption for iCloud services to support for passkeys to replace classic passwords.

In their Live-WebinarNew security features from Apple” the technical author and mobile device specialist Mark Zimmermann explains how websites and apps can be secured with passkeys, what exactly Apple’s blocking mode (lockdown mode) and the extended data protection of iCloud are – and what that means in concrete terms in corporate use. The event aims aimed at system and network administrators as well as IT managers.

In addition to other new security functions, it is also about securing Apple ID and iMessage conversations and the limits of protection. The focus is on the possibilities this offers for companies and the user and what pitfalls have to be considered in practical use.

The 120-minute live webinar will take place on May 16, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will be moderated by Mac & i editor Inge Schwabe. Demonstrations and space for answering participant questions complete the event. Attendees will also have unlimited access to all webinar videos and materials. The ticket with early bird discount (valid until April 17) costs 116.10 euros.
