In the podcast “But please with Schlager” Maite Kelly spoke to Helene Fischer, who has been on tour for the first time since birth. The two women have been accompanying each other on their life paths for years. With regard to Helene’s desire to have children, the former Kelly Family singer remembered an intimate conversation with a woman: “It was a time in her life when, as a woman, I knew exactly with what courage she now had to take the next steps in her life. I just looked at them and I was like, ‘No matter what, if it’s for babies, just do it.’
Maite Kelly knows how hard the decision to have her own family was for Helene Fischer at the height of her career. “It was also a moment when I felt that as a woman she might have needed a bit of strength from another woman who had also gone through a lot,” she explained. When she appeared on stage with Helene Fischer, she was emotionally very close to the “Breathless” interpreter: “Meanwhile I thought: No matter what is going on in your life, no matter where it all goes.
