The community in the municipality of Carmen de Apicalá, Tolima, is dismayed by a strange case that occurred in the region’s hospital, Nuestra Señora Del Carmen, when a patient died due to medical negligencewho was admitted for a “dirt” in the eye and in the end died at the medical center.
The victim identified himself as Jose Geovanny Lopez, who went to the medical center because garbage fell into his eye and the symptoms began to increase. However, her wife, Ana Guzmán, assured that the doctors were negligent and because of her mismanagement, they let her husband die, because they washed her and later applied diclofenalco and dexamethasone.

Seeing the delicate picture that the patient presented, the doctors decided to transfer him.
But it was too late, because when he entered the other medical center, the woman received the terrible news that José had a case of necrosis that extended throughout his body and compromised several of his organs. At that time his heart was working at 26% and he went into unemployment due to kidney failure.
“We arrived in Girardot at the clinic where he was received and admitted to the emergency room and there they told us that it was time to take him to resuscitation with more than six nurses and doctors who did everything to save him, but the doctor told us that my husband is very serious. and that they had sent him more dead than alive,” said López’s wife.
For this reason, the woman asks for justice, since she points out that the death of her husband is the responsibility of the doctors at the Nuestra Señora Del Carmen hospital. At the moment, the medical staff of the medical center have not commented.
It should be noted that dexamethosone is a medication used to relieve the inflammation (swelling, heat, redness, and pain) and is used to treat certain forms of arthritis, disorders of the skin, blood, kidney, eyes, thyroid, and intestines.
