The Governor of Quintana Roo, Mara Lezama Espinosa, highlighted the impetus that has been given to the cooperatives to boost the economy of small agricultural, fishing or artisan producers, who will benefit from the operation of the Mayan Train.
“The multiplier effect on benefits of the Mayan Train led us to create this model because we must support and monitor all the economic growth that will continue to emerge,” he said.
He pointed out that to date there have been 109 thousand jobs in the five entities, including Quintana Roo, through which the Mayan Train will pass, which “have been fundamental and have allowed a much faster and more solid recovery.”
