For these two, the show became a family outing.

The next round at „The Masked Singer“! After hit star Marianne Rosenberg (68) came out from behind the mushroom costume last week, six masks fought to get into the semi-finals that evening.

In addition to Ruth Moschner (47) and Rea Garvey (49), singer Beatrice Egli (34) was allowed to puzzle this time.

However, before another celebrity was exposed, Ms. Moschner had to listen to a few sayings.

Ruth Moschner croaks through the show

Juror Ruth Moschner not only caused wide eyes with a pink wig, the listeners’ ears also had to be pricked up when the presenter started to speak.

She sounded so hoarse that moderator Matthias Opdenhövel couldn’t resist saying: “You didn’t just change your hairstyle, you also changed your voice: against that of Henning May von AnnenMayKantereit.” Moschner dry: “It was late last night.”

Her voice didn’t improve over the course of the evening either, so at some point Opdenhövel even asked the studio: “Anyone have a candy for Ruth?”

The later the evening, the worse the voice – Rea already had an idea for Ruth’s croak: “You’ll get subtitles right away, honestly.” After the masks had performed duet songs, Rea jumped in for Ruth’s damaged voice and repeated: “Ruth said: All the duets were sensational.”

Beatrice Egli’s voice worked all the better: as an encore after the duet song “Girls just wanna have fun” by Igel and Toaster, she grabbed a microphone and sang along.

The seahorse is revealed

The colorful sea animal had put a lot of effort into it: The colorful and glittering seahorse performed the hit “Jolene” by Dolly Parton and earned compliments from Rea: “A great performance!”

He tapped directly on actress Anna Loos (52), but also had another singer in mind: “Isn’t there this country band?” He meant Texas Lightning and lead singer Jane Comerford (64). Beatrice Egli agreed: “I’m with you.”

Moschner had a completely different idea and sensed a moderator under the mask after seeing the evidence film: “Have you seen the highlighter? And you always see a school class like that. That can be someone who is also a lecturer at a university. And that’s when Dunja Hayali came to mind.”

At the end of the evening, the seahorse was supposed to take off his mask and the puzzles were repeated. Rea was now sure that he had his good friend in front of him: “I have the feeling that I was being fooled. I think it’s the first pairing we have on this show. I think it’s Anna Loos.”

And indeed: Anna Loos appeared – the wife of actor Jan Josef Liefers (58), who was eliminated as a kangaroo in the first episode of the season. Enthusiasm for Matthias Opdenhövel: “The whole family took part. That’s amazing!”

Shortly afterwards, Rea revealed how he recognized that the kangaroo and the seahorse also have a close connection outside of the show: “Farewell to the kangaroo! When you look at it, you realize: they are not allowed to.”

After her husband left, Anna wasn’t allowed to hug him: “I thought: Oh no, he can’t be kicked out in the first episode! And I wanted to hug him, but then I thought: No, you can’t.”

In the semifinals next Saturday, five masks will try to sing their way into the final: Schuhschnabel, Hedgehog, Toast, Terry Cloth and Diamantula.
