In the midst of the exchange crisis that has shaken the country in recent days, Sergio Massa received this Wednesday at the Ministry of Economy leaders of the CGT and social movements, who expressed their support against “speculators” and “price markups “.

Massa met in the Scalabrini Ortiz room of the Palacio de Hacienda with trade unionists and leaders to analyze the current economic situation after the economic storm caused by a vertiginous escalation of the blue dollar.

During the meeting, the minister assured: “I think it is key, once the stabilization process is over, to sit the businessmen at the table with you to somehow establish the path of the next 90 days; so that there are no justified cheating in this trap that some living people tried to create”.

“From here on Friday we have to work to finish stabilizing the markets and the macroeconomic functioning, for the weekend to work together, calling on businessmen to give a path of 90 days of stability, which allows people to live without fear and have the certainty that the State fulfills its role”, he completed.

Previously, the general secretary of the CGT, Héctor Daer, had taken the floor, who stated: “We are here to guarantee support, trust and everything that has to do with generating stable conditions for our people.”

“We are not going to be simple spectators of those who speculate, these small groups of living people who, using timba media, end up harming the home economy of those who have a fixed income in Argentina,” Daer said.

Immediately afterwards, he made a call for those who speculated with the prices to retract them.

“For the good of all, what we have to do is face these firm attitude of the Ministry of Economy of our Government to go out and face the speculators, they also have to roll back the prices, because if they do not generate social sustainability these increases and remarks that were given”, shot.

For his part, Emilio Pérsico, from the Evita Movement, commented that “crises are always paid for by the humblest and that “we have learned that crises are never favorable to our people.”

“There are people who, it seems incredible, benefit from the crisis; speculate, take advantage. Crises are never good for the popular sectors. Always count on us. All sectors have to make a common front against the crisis,” he said .
