The CHAN organizing committee gave great pleasure to a child with cerebral palsy (CMI). The latter was able to realize his dream by accompanying the national team A ‘during the last match against Ethiopia.
He is an Algerian child whose name is Djamel and who suffers from cerebral palsy (CMI). His dream was to attend a national team match. And yet with his ticket, he could not access the Nelson Mandela stadium last Friday to attend the opening ceremony of CHAN-2022 and the Algeria-Libya match. The reason ? It is quite simply the large crowd in the access doors due to the enthusiasm that the event aroused.
His uncle did not hesitate to shout his dismay through a publication on Facebook. The latter did not go unnoticed by the CHAN organizing committee.
Indeed, the president of the LOC, Rachid Oukali, immediately contacted Djamel’s uncle. “I learned that your child could not access the stadium last Friday to attend the opening ceremony. We are sincerely sorry. We would like to fix this and try to make him forget this bad experience, by inviting you to come and visit the players of the national team at the CTN in Sidi Moussa to then accompany them to the Nelson Mandela stadium in their next match against Ethiopia”. Wrote Oukali to the concerned.
When little Djamel’s dream comes true
Invited by Rachid Oukali, the little Djamel, accompanied by his uncle, moved to the national technical center of Sidi Moussa, place of accommodation of the national selection of locals. The least we can say is that he received a warm welcome.
Indeed, the members of the technical staff and the players welcomed the little Djamel with accolades. As promised by Oukali, he accompanied the national team to the Nelson Mandela stadium, before attending the Algeria-Ethiopia match. And next to whom! next to Djamel Belmadi.
Something to please little Djamel who saw his dream come true. He spent a pleasant afternoon full of emotions. Very grateful for this commendable initiative, Djamel’s uncle wanted to thank the CHAN organizing committee through a publication on Facebook.
