Meg Ryan, 61, is back in a romantic comedy for the first time in 20 years from mid-October. Now the first trailer of the film “What Happens Later,” in which the actress can be seen alongside David Duchovny, 63. While Meg Ryan is getting back to business, her ex-partner John Mellencamp71, with whom she was in a relationship from 2010 to 2019 with interruptions, privately hit the jackpot: the rock singer has been in love again for a few months.
John Mellencamp has a new girlfriend
The ‘Hurts So Good’ hitmaker confirmed the romantic news on the YouTube show Club Random with Bill Maher. Seven months ago he unexpectedly met his current girlfriend. “She came I just unexpectedly walked into my apartment in New York,” he says, adding, “She was there with some friends. She just walked in. She didn’t know I would be there. I didn’t know she was there. We have met.”
He doesn’t want to reveal the identity of his sweetheart, but he does reveal that she is “a beautiful 57-year-old woman”. The Grammy Award-winner seems to be in high love as he insists his partner has never been mad at him, which seems to surprise him. “It’s so hard to believe, I know. She has a really high tolerance level,” he jokes. Apparently, the singer has gone through a change in recent years. Because it was only in June that he admitted that he was a “bad friend” in his relationship with Meg Ryan. He told Esquire, “She’s an amazing woman. I love Meg Ryan. I’ve been with her for 10 years. She doesn’t love me that much though.”
Relationship with Meg Ryan has had its ups and downs
John Mellencamp and Meg Ryan met and fell in love in 2010, shortly after the musician’s third divorce. The two seemed to have searched and found each other, but four years later they separated. During the relationship break, the “Cherry Bomb” interpreter was in a relationship with ex-supermodel Christie Brinkley, 69, for almost a year. In 2017, Ryan and Mellencamp, who has five children by three women including “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Teddi Mellencamp, found one another Arroyave, 42, back together. A year later they got engaged, and another twelve months later the relationship finally broke up.
