MIAMI.- Three members of the grouping gospel music The Nelons died when the small plane they were traveling in en route to Alaska crashed north of Gillette, Wyoming. Authorities confirmed that Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband Jason Nelon Clark and their daughter Amber Nelon Kistler are among the fatalities.

Also on board were Amber’s husband, Nathan Kistler, along with his assistant Melodi Hodges, and pilots Larry Haynie and his wife Melissa, who also lost their lives in the accident that occurred on July 26.

The family heads to Alaska to participate in the Gaither Homecoming cruise.

Meanwhile, the fourth member of the group, Autumn Nelon Streetman, shared a statement on social media confirming the tragic event and thanking her followers for the support she has received.

“I deeply appreciate the prayers you have offered for me, my husband Jamie, our unborn child and Jason’s parents, Dan and Linda Clark. We appreciate your continued prayers, love and support as we face the days ahead,” she said.

Neither she nor her husband, Jamie Streetman, were on the plane.

Segn inform Peoplethe National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) opened an investigation to find out the cause of the accident.

The NTSB suspects that the crash could be related to an autopilot failure.
