Okamura notably claims that 2023 “will be a year with many announcements” which will include a “long overdue” announcement from Konami.
Despite the fact that these statements are still vague and that these speculations should be taken with a grain of salt, Noriaki Okamura is a pillar of Konami known for his work as a producer on the Metal Gear Solid saga. These announcements may therefore not be insignificant, but we will still have to remain patient and see how the franchise would come back now that Kojima has left the ship.
