Each year, it is one of the major tech meetings. The Mobile World Congress – or MWC for short – is the largest exhibition dedicated to the mobile industry. After the CES in Las Vegas and before the IFA in Berlin, this show is an opportunity for major manufacturers to unveil their latest innovations.
If the smartphone is the star of this event, the MWC also welcomes other tech players. Artificial intelligence, virtual reality, connected objects, start-ups, connectivity, there is something for everyone.

When is MWC 2023?
The 2023 edition of the MWC takes place over four days, from February 27 to March 2, 2023. After a 2020 edition canceled due to Covid, an anecdotal 2021 edition and a 2022 edition still marked by PCR tests and risks of contamination, the MWC 2023 promises to be the great return of the Barcelona show.
So inevitably, the program is very busy. But what are the trends this year?

Since the MWC is a show dedicated primarily to mobile telephony, the industry giants have planned big announcements. This 2023 edition is marked by announcements from Chinese manufacturers who want to take all the light.
Xiaomi has planned a conference from day one to present its new high-end smartphones, the Xiaomi 13 Series, already launched in China. Honor follows suit the next day to present its Honor 5 Pro.

How to hold an MWC without its batch of folding smartphones? If the models on display are not new, they always arouse a certain curiosity.
Among the most famous models, the recent OPPO Find N2 should attract crowds, as will the Honor Magic Vs. This year again, TCL has planned to exhibit all its innovations in terms of folding devices.
Among the surprises, a brand unknown to Europeans. Since 2023 is the year of artificial intelligence, the MWC will welcome players from this industry. We should therefore find in the aisles of innovative start-ups some surprising products doped with AI.
More generally, artificial intelligence should be present on most stands. There is no doubt that Microsoft will promote its new Bing with integrated ChatGPT. As for Google, it could release some additional information on Bard, its new hastily developed AI.
