Nanako is a relatively new cosplayer, as she began to publish her photos dressed as her favorite characters in mid-2020. In this year and a half, Nanako has presented a dozen cosplays and among them we find those of Marin Kitagawa as Rizu Kyun, based on the My Dress Up Darling anime.
In the My Dress-Up Darling anime and manga we meet Marin Kitagawa, a student who dreams of becoming a professional cosplayer and for that she asks a classmate named Gojo for help. This leads to many very funny and flirty scenes, especially where Marin wears the Rizu Kyun cosplay we saw Nanako Shu in.
The episode where we see Marin Kitagawa cosplaying Rizu Kyun is one of the funniest in the first season of the My Dress-Up Darling anime, so we’ve seen several tributes to those scenes in the past year. Nanako’s cosplay may be the last to be released this year, but we’ll surely see more when the second season airs.
In the time that Nanako Shu has been active, she has transformed into some of her favorite characters, but this is the first time she has dressed up as a character from My Dress-Up Darling.
