The sequel to the hit blockbuster starring the Marvel movies will hit the streaming platform just before summer.

Tyler Rake is back. Netflix will unveil on June 16 the sequel to Tyler Rakeaction-thriller which had met with such colossal and unexpected success in 2020. Chris Hemsworth back in the role of mercenary Tyler Raker.

After miraculously escaping the events of the first film, he returns with a new mission: to rescue the family members of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held.

The first images of the film – bound to be explosive – were unveiled by Netflix last week in a video showing some scenes from their biggest films of the year (like Rebel Moonannounced as the Star Wars by Zack Snyder).

To make fans wait, the streaming platform had already unveiled a making-of last August offering a dive into the creation of the impressive stunts of the second part of the series.

“Twice the action”

The first Tyler Rake had been praised for its particularly immersive action scenes. The sequel will be even more impressive, according to director Sam Hargrave: “With a title followed by a 2, you need at least twice as much action”.

“In Tyler Rake, we had an action scene in a sequence shot. In Tyler Rake 2, we go even further with an even more complex sequence. And we have a real helicopter landing on the roof of a moving train.”

Tyler Rake 2 is produced as the first installment by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors ofavengers endgame and of The Gray Man. Golshifteh Farahanialready present in the first film, will also be back.
