The murder of Mauro Villamil, the 36-year-old man who was shopping at a grocery store on Corrientes and Gutiérrez, and the series of homicides that occurred this week, led to a new call at the National Monument to the Flag by the Rosario Sangra community.

Hundreds of people gathered on the esplanade to ask for securityin a week in which on Thursday there were five crimes in twelve hours.

The call had two times: at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. However, the people who attended the esplanade of the Monument began to come closer before the first time stipulated by the organizers.

Around 5:15 p.m. and motivated by one of the first honking sounds from motorists passing through Belgrano avenue, the protesters began to applaud to ask for safety in the city. The start of the complaints caused some small groups of people who were in the National Park to cross paths to see what was happening or to participate in the meeting.

Citizens of all ages were seen; from groups of friends or young couples to married couples. In fact, a few seconds before the applause began, two older couples arrived on the esplanade.
