  • Innovative offer for supplementary company long-term care insurance
  • Strong benefits when care is required during the period of employment
  • Provision for the first time also for the period after the employee leaves the employer
  • Product launch exclusively with the employees of the collectively agreed companies in ABVP eV
  • A new product with a model character for other branches as well

Nursing staff also want to ensure their own nursing care is well secured in the event of an emergency. ARAG health insurance has therefore developed a supplementary company long-term care insurance in close cooperation with the ABVP – the employers’ and professional association for private care eV: ARAG Pflege-AsseCura combines strong benefits for long-term care with a savings model. With this, employees, for example in the event of retirement, can continue the insurance privately at affordable conditions. “ARAG Pflege-AsseCura is initially only available to employees of the collectively agreed companies in ABVP eV,” explains Dr. Roland Schäfer, CEO of ARAG Krankenversicherungs-AG. “With the innovative savings component, however, our new product has a model character for the entire company long-term care insurance – so also for other sectors.”

ARAG Pflege-AsseCura combines a care cost tariff with an integrated savings component. The long-term care cost tariff doubles the benefit of the statutory long-term care insurance and protects the employee against the financial risks arising from a need for long-term care for the duration of his employment. If the employee resigns from the employment relationship – for example due to retirement – ARAG health insurance will make him an individually tailored offer for the private continuation of his insurance cover. This includes the previously accumulated funds from the savings component. This noticeably reduces the contribution to be paid and thus enables comprehensive insurance protection at affordable contributions even in old age.

The employer makes a contribution of 80 euros per month and employee to ARAG Pflege-AsseCura. This contribution is fully refinanced by the long-term care insurance funds. ARAG Pflege-AsseCura is thus setting new sustainable standards in terms of social security for employees beyond the employment phase.

ARAG Pflege-AsseCura was specially developed for the employees of the im

ABVP eV organized outpatient care services. This supplementary care insurance is tailored to the requirements of the employer-financed company pension scheme agreed in the supplementary collective agreement between ABVP eV and the Public Service Union (GÖD). It is not only available to employees who are bound by collective bargaining agreements. It can also be taken out by the employer for other employee groups on a voluntary basis. “Care AsseCura is a care insurance that was developed by care for care. The insurance was created in close cooperation between ARAG and ABVP eV. This means that all the needs of caregivers can be taken into account. The product is unique and ideal for our industry “, emphasizes the chairwoman of the board of ABVP eV, Carmen Kurz-Ketterer.

The new company care product is an important model for ARAG Krankenversicherung. “By implementing such an attractive pension option for the target group of nursing staff, we have created an ideal framework that can be easily and quickly transferred to future solutions for other industries. In this way, we are making an important contribution to closing gaps in the protection of nursing risks can be,” emphasizes Dr. Roland Schäfer, CEO of ARAG Krankenversicherung.
