Bad luck seems to be continuing for Swedish soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The AC Milan striker was injured during the warm-up during Sunday’s match against Lecce. The match would have been the Swede’s first in over a month.
– I thought he would be able to play in the last minutes of the match, but he got a feeling in his calf. I don’t know how serious it is, coach Stefano Pioli told Sportbladet.
According to the Italian media, Zlatan left the pitch limping. In the worst case, the season could be over.
The Swede’s season has been anything but smooth due to injuries. But in March he played three Serie A matches and scored one goal. The experienced striker was also in the national team squad during the European Championship qualifiers.
AC Milan beat Lecce 2-0 and are now in fifth place in the table.
