Stefan Mross kept his new partnership secret for a long time. But now the Schlager moderator and his girlfriend Eva Luginger chatted openly about their love.
Passau – For six years Stephen Mross (47) and Anna-Carina Woitschack (30) a couple. But two years after their dream wedding, the two announced their marriage in November 2022. Since then, the “Always Sunday” presenter has kept his private life under wraps. Until now! In an interview with bild.de he and his new girlfriend Eva Luginger (35) broke the silence. The two lovebirds chatted candidly about getting to know each other, dealing with alcohol and their plans for the future together.
Eva Luginger on Stefan Mross: “I never intended to grab him”
Eva Luginger was no stranger to Stefan Mross. The 35-year-old was one of Stefan’s ex-wife Anna-Carina’s best friends. But when did Eva fall in love with the hit star? “In December we saw each other over a mulled wine drink. Then things sparked between us,” Luginger recalls. She admits that she found Stefan “already attractive as a man”. “But I never intended to get hold of him,” she continues.
Eva was still married at that time. In the meantime, however, she has separated from her husband “on good terms”. “The divorces are ongoing,” Stefan adds in the interview. “We’ve both been in the year of separation since September. It will be a double divorce, so to speak.”
The friendship between Eva and Anna-Carina has now been put on hold. “Anna and I lived in the same place and used to go out to eat with our partners,” Eva explains of her friendship with Stefan’s ex. “But we haven’t had any contact at all in the past few months. When I met Stefan, there had been radio silence between us for a long time.”

Stefan Mross and Eva Luginger talk about alcohol, a new home and the desire to have children
In the interview, Stefan denies the statement of his ex-wife Anna-Carina that he fell into “old behavioral patterns” shortly before the separation. When asked about this, the 47-year-old takes a clear stance: “I don’t have an alcohol problem!” But he is not unfamiliar with the topic. “People always take a close look when I’m standing somewhere with a beer.” Eva Luginger also confirms that Stefan often avoids alcohol when cooking together.
Mross confirms that the two now live together. “We moved into my old house together,” explains the moderator. However, this has already been sold, so that he and Eva are already looking for a new home – as close as possible to Stefan’s mom. Luginger also takes a position on the issue of family planning. “We already feel like family,” explains Eva. “Although I don’t want children of my own, although I love children.” Luginger should also get along well with Stefan’s three children.
