During 2020, car accidents had a lower number, since there were only 301,678, that is, 38,737 fewer mishaps, where 245,297 were only in damage, of which there were 52,954 injured and 3,427 dead, despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sundays in 2021 were the days when the authorities reported the highest number of deaths with one thousand three (23 percent); It was followed on Saturday with 858 (19 percent) and in third place on Friday with 610 fatalities (14 percent).
Fridays were not entirely exempt from this deadly list, as 604 people died (14 percent).

Cervantes Trejo pointed out that the deaths registered on Monday have more to do with those who die in hospitals after having an accident over the weekend.
