A new RPG inspired by one of this generation’s most beloved anime and manga works was announced last year with One Piece Odyssey, which just hit the market today. You can already buy One Piece Odyssey on Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PlayStation 5 and PC consoles through Steam, but unfortunately the game did not reach Xbox One consoles.

All current generation players will be able to enjoy One Piece Odyssey, but last generation players will only be able to play it on PlayStation consoles. At the moment Bandai Namco has not given an explanation for this release model, but it is possible that it is due to the low sales of RPGs on Xbox consoles.

This is not the first game announced for next-generation consoles and PlayStation 4 that will not come to Xbox One, as Capcom plans to do the same with the highly anticipated Street Fighter 6.

Today, One Piece Odyssey not only arrived on Xbox Series X | S, PS4, PlayStation 5 and PC, as Bandai Namco also released a free demo so you can try this long-awaited RPG on all platforms. It has long been confirmed that progress from the demo will carry over to the full version of the game, so you can spend hours on it without feeling like you’re wasting your time.

One Piece Odyssey is a turn-based RPG in which the Straw Hat crew travel to a mysterious island filled with new enemies and powerful bosses, featuring an original story and characters developed by franchise creator Eiichiro Oda. The game also maintains Oda’s colorful art style, plus it features the anime’s original Japanese voice actors.

Lastly, Bandai Namco released a launch trailer that gives us an insight into One Piece Odyssey’s story, shows off its visual style and characters.
