At the Farmen celebrity farm, a group of celebrities are sent back in time to live as Norwegians did 100 years ago.

Last week heated discussions arose in which the ladies accused some of the men of taking with them the attitudes of 1923.

– Maybe didn’t handle it so well

The following week, it was age that became the big discussion on the farm. At Steinsjøen farm there is a large group of younger participants, who some believe do not work as hard and as much as the older ones.

One of those who thought so was the 53-year-old chef Trond Moi.

– Right off the bat I probably didn’t handle it very well, he admits.

But as he got to know the younger contestants better, he became increasingly impressed.

– It is not necessarily about the number of hours, but the effort. Everyone gave it their all. It was an impressive effort by everyone. Some people need a little more sleep and rest, but you have to in order to exist, says Moi.

Emotions took over

Last week, the large farmer Aleksander Sætesdøl (27) chose actor Marit Andreassen (56) as the first champion.

It was difficult for Andreassen, who did not know how to handle her emotions inside the farm:

– That was perhaps what I found the most difficult to deal with in there. I am an emotional person and live off my emotions as an actor. I wasn’t afraid to stand up in a discussion or ask if we should talk together, she says and continues:

– But there was such a pressure cooker in there, which I couldn’t quite figure out. Then I didn’t quite know what to do.

Then Moi became a good supporter for Andreassen.

– You would like to find out. I walked a lot in the forest and cried and picked flowers for him, says the 56-year-old.

Andreassen does not want to portray himself as a victim and believes that everyone on the farm is in a pressured situation and is trying to do the best they can.

– I know several people struggled and tried to find out, but I still don’t know today what happened to us in there.

Moi doesn’t know that either, but he knows one thing for sure:

– There will be no less emotion in there. We have only just begun, hints Moi.

Caught between the bark and the wood

In the last week it has been “the young against the old” at Farmen, but before that there were big discussions about gender.

Several of the women thought it was attitudes and mindsets from 1923 on the farm. That week it was entrepreneur Ørnulf Høyer who was a big farmer.

“War of the sexes” on Farmen kendis: – More childish than Paradise hotel

Trond Moi also ended up in the middle of the discussion.

– In a way, I ended up a bit between a rock and a hard place. I think we could involve the girls even more, says Moi, who received a lot of help from the opposite sex.

– When I was completely stuck with some carpentry, Marit comes in and says “can’t you just do this and that?” Yes, of course, I thought. So if it hadn’t been for Marit in many situations when I was doing it, we wouldn’t have reached the finish line.

The week in which there were most gender discussions was when there were heavy and large construction projects the contractors had to carry out.

– And then it is not maliciously thought, by our first boss Ørnulf, that he had to have muscle power. But it got a little weird in a way because there are so many tasks in the farm, says Moi.

Andreassen also thought so, who came out hard against Ørnulf Høyer:

– I guess I was a bit early and told Ørnulf that I thought I was a bit chauvinistic. But he was just trying – he is a very skilled builder, so he was just trying to get these assignments done, says Andreassen.

Disagreement arises on Farmen kendis: – Male chauvinistic

Almost eight months after filming, the actor still finds it difficult to imagine that there was so much drama on the farm.

– It was more like a pressure cooker, she explains.

– We also had a lot of fun, with many great moments, Moi interjects.
