Juarez City.– With the obligation to win the second game of the series, the Owls surprised the Vultures team with a 5-9 comeback in the seventh inning of the game. After being heavily outclassed on Saturday afternoon, the feathered returned to Carta Blanca Stadium prepared to claim their offensive power in the second chapter of the grand final.

Both teams displayed solid defense through the first four innings, as Scavengers pitcher Andrés Ledezma and the Owls’ Joel Rodríguez dished out multiple strikeouts for their opponents.

Finally, the scoring was opened at the top of the fifth inning, when a powerful shot from batter Diego Ramírez allowed the scavenger to advance to second base in the diamond. After the play, Rodolfo Soto came, who drove in the first run of the game after connecting a shot towards the deep part of the right field.

The Vultures were stalking the second run of the match, while the Owls’ response was nil. Things became even more hostile for the feathered, as they were victims of the 2-0 lead by Fernando Gandarilla, who was driven by Miguel Rodríguez, author of the third run of the game.

It seemed that the Vultures would take the second game of the series, which would have put the Bpuhos in serious trouble, but the feathered team surprised their rival when they reversed the score in just one inning. The brutal offensive began with a home run by Carlos “Hulk” Díaz, who also drove Yahir Gurrola.

Just one turn later, the batting champion and veteran of the Indios de Ciudad Juárez, Óscar Sigala, backed by the young Carlos Muñoz and Christian Pacheco, made it 6-3.

The pressure began to tighten on the shoulders of the Vulture pitcher, Edgar Coronel, who gave away one more run for the rivals, after hitting the Hulk Díaz with the ball. After this, Christian Pacheco and Yahir Gurrola would come again to close the score in favor of Búhos.

The Vultures tried to close the gap with two more runs, but the result was irreversible. With a final score of 5-9, the Owls tied the series in the grand finale. Next Saturday, both teams will meet again at Carta Blanca, while on Sunday we will meet the undisputed champion of the Regional Tournament in the fourth or fifth game of the series.
