INFO BFMTV – Île-de-France Mobilités confirms that a technical problem has led to multiple bank debits in the last few hours. The refund will be made “in the next few days”.

On the morning of January 3, many users of applications allowing them to buy a Navigo pass (Île-de-France Mobilités, SNCF Connect or Bonjour RATP) discovered multiple debits on their bank account. In question, a technical problem at Île-de-France Mobilités (mobility organizing authority for the Île-de-France region), in charge of marketing the Navigo pass, which led to undue charges for users who purchased a pass at the beginning of the month. With for some several hundred euros debited by mistake and a Navigo pass which is, despite everything, not activated.

With BFMTV, Île-de-France Mobilités confirms that some 100,000 people are affected. “Île-de-France Mobilités apologizes and is sincerely sorry for the inconvenience caused. The people concerned will be reimbursed automatically, without action on their part, in the coming days” specifies the public establishment, which recently increased the price of the Navigo pass at 84.10 euros per month.

Between January 2 and 3, some 10,000 tweets were published on the subject, according to data provided by Visibrain to BFMTV. For the time being, it is therefore likely that many people concerned have not yet become aware of these multiple debits.

Still with BFMTV, Île-de-France Mobilités ensures that the problem is now resolved and that all sums debited by mistake will be reimbursed “in the coming days”. For users, no action will be necessary: ​​their account will be credited automatically. After such a technical problem, a verification of this reimbursement is however strongly recommended.
