The man has confessed to the crime and now awaits trial, the first of its kind in Dalarna since the regulation on driver’s licenses for jet skis was introduced on May 1, 2022.
– There are already rulings from other district courts in Sweden where the penalty has been similar to that for illegal driving of other vehicles, i.e. 30 day fines, says prosecutor Malin Besson.
Charged with permitting the driving
A man in his 50s is charged at the same time for having allowed the above person to drive a jet ski without a driver’s license, but he denies any crime.
