The actor was taken into custody on Wednesday as part of the ongoing investigation for “manslaughter”.

The police custody of actor Pierre Palmade was extended this Thursday, after the first 24 hours. He had been placed in police custody early Wednesday afternoon as part of the investigation opened for “manslaughter” and “involuntary injuries by driver under the influence of narcotics”.

The comedian caused an accident on Friday February 10 while under the influence of cocaine. He, as well as the three occupants of the other vehicle, a man, his 6-year-old child and his sister-in-law, who lost her baby, were seriously injured.

Before the investigators, Pierre Palmade said he had very few memories of the accident, according to police sources at BFMTV.

According to the first elements of the investigation communicated by the prosecutor of Melun, Jean-Michel Bourlès, the vehicle driven by Pierre Palmade struck last Friday around 7:00 p.m. near Villiers-en-Bière (Seine-et-Marne), for a reason still undetermined, a vehicle coming in front.

Two passengers in his car, suspected of having fled after the accident, have also been in custody since Wednesday.

On Wednesday, two of the three victims of the accident “were still in intensive care”, according to their lawyer, Me Mourad Battikh.
