Within the framework of the investigation into the crime of Emanuel Portillo, a young man who was found murdered last Friday, December 30, in a sector of weeds in the town of Azara, the only person arrested in the case, identified as Catriel P., will testify today. before the Court of Instruction 4 of Apóstoles, in charge of magistrate Miguel Ángel Faria.
According to different sources consulted by this morning paper, one of the hypotheses being handled in the case would indicate that the 19-year-old detainee would have been angry with the victim for revealing in the town the alleged relationship between them. However, everything must be corroborated from the progress of the investigation and the collection of testimonies and other evidence.
It should be remembered that the members of the Misiones Police Homicide Department arrested Catriel P on Tuesday afternoon, as the main suspect in the ruthless murder of Emanuel Portillo.
The boy was initially targeted by the investigations and although he was delayed for a couple of hours on the day of the discovery, no elements were found in the search of his house that linked him to the crime.
Although according to the data provided by spokespersons for the case, the suspect’s arrest was achieved after the defendant sent a text message to a friend in which he would have confessed to the act. Given this, the recipient of the letter went to the Police and alerted what had happened.
The person involved, in the last hours, was once again at the disposal of the Court of Apostles to be taken for an investigative statement and to tell his version of the facts.
