The city of Potsdam, which is under great pressure in view of the possible arrival of hundreds of refugees, is again preparing the Orangery of the Biosphere as an emergency shelter. City spokeswoman Juliane Güldner confirmed this to the PNN on request. In addition to the temporary container accommodation from March or April for 80 people next to the rainbow school in Fahrland, the tropical hall is the second new hostel that is making the city famous for this year. “Further objects are in preparation, but are still in the planning stage,” said the spokeswoman for the town hall. Already at the beginning of the Ukraine war, the orangery of the biosphere was a shelter for refugees for weeks.
