MIAMI.- One of the presenters of Today Da says goodbye to the program to start new projects: it is also about the actor Daniel Arenas. In a segment dedicated to the driver, the morning show Telemundo announced the news on Thursday.
“We have an announcement for all of you and it is a very difficult time for us because we have to say goodbye to a great friend and a driver who has not only filled your mornings with joy but will leave a tremendous void in the hearts of all of us. He is someone who has earned our love, our respect, our admiration; he is a great companion, but above all a great human being,” said a broken-hearted Penlope Menchaca, while directing part of her words to Arenas.
“We know that whatever you have decided, wherever you want to go, you will succeed because you have everything to succeed in life, but we sincerely hope that you do not forget us and that wherever you go, you will remember this family that carries you in its heart,” added the Mexican, who presented an emotional video of the Colombian’s career in the morning show.

After that, Daniel Arenas took the opportunity to express his feelings and explain the reasons that led him to end his work in Today Da. Reasons that are beyond Telemundo’s policies.
“Thank you. Well, I’ll try to be brief. First of all, it’s a very personal decision, very much from the heart, I consulted. First of all, you know that I am a man of God, God is 100% in this decision, at this moment in my life, no one is firing me from the company, there was no problem, I adore, I love, Telemundo and above all my program. Today Dawhich will always be my home. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity that you gave me; this process of being with you every day, of hosting a program like this – which is a great responsibility. A morning show is the heart of a television channel, it is the emblem that a television channel carries and that a year and a half ago they called me to say: ‘we want you to be the main host of this show’. show‘Together with my great colleagues, it was an honour for me,’ said the 45-year-old Colombian artist.
“The learning curve has been enormous, but there are life cycles and I am a person who staunchly defends my priorities in life and right now I have very personal priorities and that’s why I made the decision. In fact, Telemundo very honestly and very generously called me to renew my contract, to renegotiate and I said: ‘guys, thank you very much’, I told them what was going on in my life, they understood me, they were enormously generous and today I want to thank you all for this opportunity in life,” he added, who then thanked and dedicated a brief message to his fellow employees.
