Profeco reveals the worst brands of chicken broth concentrate

The Federal Consumer Attorney (Profeco) analyzed 24 brands of industrialized chicken broth that are marketed in Mexico and revealed which ones can affect health if consumed daily due to the high salt content.

And it is that according to Profeco, the consumption of industrialized chicken broths, either in cube, powder or granulescould pose a risk due to various harmful ingredients they contain, especially for people with high blood pressure.

As we have mentioned in other informative notes of The Truth Newschicken broths are made with salt, corn starch, monosodium glutamate, chicken meat and fat, seasoningsnatural and artificial flavorings, as well as vegetables and colorings.

The Worst Brands of Powdered Chicken Concentrate

Great Value: 2.54 grams of salt and less meat content than recommended.
Golden Hills: 3.14 grams of salt; less meat content. It does not have nutritional front labeling.
Aurrerá: 3.25 grams of salt with less meat content.
Chedraui D’ Calidad: 3.15 grams of salt and less meat content.
Soriana: 3.00 grams of salt and less meat content.
Su-Pollo: 2.91 grams of salt, less meat content and does not have all the nutritional information.

The worst brands of cubed chicken concentrate

Knorr Swiss brand is one of the worst chicken stock seasonings for cooking. It contains 2.86 grams of salt in a cube, while in the powder version it has 3.17 grams.
Aurrerá: 3:04 grams of salt and less percentage of meat content than recommended.
Great Value: 2.96 grams of salt and has less meat content.
Soriana: 3.04 grams of salt and less meat content.
Chedraui D’ Quality: 2.84 grams of salt and less percentage of meat content.

The brands that passed all the tests are: RikoPollo, Iberia, McCormick and Bakers & Chefs.
