The PSVR 2 may well have the right to a new exclusive from its launch or a few days from it, but there will be disappointed.
2023 should be a very rich year for video games as a whole. A lot of games are indeed expected on all platforms, in particular because many of them were initially planned for 2021-2022 and have been postponed. This is once again the case here with this exclusive PS5, PS4 and PSVR game.
A new game exclusive to PSVR 2?
Humanity, does that mean anything to you? It is a puzzle-game which was presented in 2019 and which, subsequently, has given very little news until today. A title announced as exclusive to PS4 and PSVR at the time, which will offer us to control a crowd of humans who will have to be helped through what looks like large-scale experiments.
Humanity seems to bet above all on the impressive number of humans on the screen and his physicality. A WTF concept, but intriguing that we will not have had the opportunity to see in 2022 as was normally expected. The developers have also waited until the end of the year to split a small tweet announcing the postponement of the game to next year.
The reasons ? We don’t know them. Nevertheless, it’s a safe bet that the postponement is linked to the upcoming release of PSVR 2. As a reminder, Sony had announced that PSVR games would not be natively compatible with PSVR 2, on the pretext that the headset would use technologies completely different. It could therefore be that Humanity has decided to take the next gen step by focusing on the PSVR 2.
Besides, the game has no release date, so we can hope that it will eventually see the light of day at the same time as Sony’s new headphones, or shortly after. But that, only the developers can tell us. They also said that more information would arrive in early 2023.
Finally, note that the game will also be playable without VR mode and should therefore be available on PS4 and PS5, even without PSVR 2.
