The family of the former Minister of Water Resources, Berraki Arezki, has denied all the charges brought against them by the Economic and Financial Criminal Court of Sidi M’hamed.
Indeed, in her response to the judge’s questions, Berraki’s first wife confirmed that she had bought an apartment in Birkhadem which belonged to her brother and that it was her husband who had asked him to look for the apartment, with a capital to pay the costs as soon as she found it.
The accused added that after examining the apartment with her husband, Arezki Berraki, ex-minister at the time of the late deposed president, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, it was agreed to buy it, and she told her brother, who sent him the agreed amount, accompanied by an agency, issued by the Algerian consulate in Germany.

In conclusion, the daughter of former minister Berraki, who seemed worried during her questioning by the court, denied having bought the apartment in Sebala with her father’s money, and explained that the value of the apartment is estimated at 800 million cents, and that her father helped her with 150 million cents, no more and no less, adding that his recourse in buying the apartment was to escape the pressures and problems to which she was confronted.
