Alicia Keys’ musical “Hells Kitchen” comes to the Shubert Theater on Broadway after a successful run at the Public Theater.

The story is inspired by Keys’ own life and experiences growing up in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood.

During the show you can enjoy their biggest hits like Empire State of Mind, Fallin, Girl on Fire, and more.

The show stars Tony nominees Shoshana Bean and Brandon Victor Dixon, and stars Maleah Joi Moon, who plays the character of Ali in her Broadway debut. The premiere is the night of April 20.

Continuing with musicians who are bringing their songs to the theater, singer-songwriter Huey Lewis brings us The Heart of Rock and Roll.

In this fictional story we meet Bobby, the young man played by Corey Cott, during his fight to achieve stardom as a rock and roll musician, but when things don’t work out as he planned, he finds himself at a routine job where he meets Cassandra, the daughter of the boss, played by Wicked star McKenzie Kurtz.

The Heart of Rock and Roll will be at the James Earl Jones Theater beginning its opening night on April 22.

A few blocks further north on 53rd Street, the 1920s are alive and in full color thanks to The Great Gatsby, currently in preview.

This classic, based on the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, tells the story of the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and his passion for the beautiful Daisy Buchanan…

The show stars the great actors Jeremy Jordan and Eva Noblezada. and officially premieres on April 25.

Also in preview, a production that revives The WhiZ, with Wayne Brady as the main character, and pop diva Debora Cox playing Glinda.

Join Dorothy and her friends to The Marquis Theater to see this soulful classic on stage. Opening night is scheduled for April 17.

And to finish off the Off Broadway circuit, don’t miss the new musical Dead Outlaw by Tonny winner David Yazbek.

Directed by the award-winning David Cromer.

The true story centers on Elmer McCurdy, who despite having died at the age of 31, became an enduring legend, having transcended sideshows and comedy clubs to reach the Minetta Lane theater.
