The midfielder is better, he won’t be there tonight against Cremonese but Juric hopes to have him available again for the match against Juve
Samuele Ricci will also be among the spectators present this evening in the stands of the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino to watch the match against Cremonese. The midfielder has yet to recover from the calf problem he suffered a couple of weeks ago, after the match against Udinese, and will not be able to be available to Ivan Juric: the grenade coach hopes, however, to be able to recover it for next Tuesday’s derby against Juventus.
Turin, Ricci can return for the derby
At the moment the chances that Ricci could be in the derby are still few but his recovery is proceeding better than expected. The midfielder won’t force too much so as not to risk more serious problems which could lead to an even longer stop but, if the progress shown in the last few days were to be confirmed, he can cultivate the hope of being able to return to the field against Juventus. This hope was also fueled by the grenade coach, Ivan Juric, in yesterday’s press conference: “Ricci is making progress and I hope that maybe he can be there for the match against Juventus, if he continues like this without problems: it’s less serious than expected and maybe he could recover, but it’s still too early”. The next few days will be decisive, in the meantime this evening he will be cheering on his team mates in a match that can’t be missed to continue the race for seventh place.
