Many films and series in the DC universe have been canceled as a result of Warner Bros. and Discovery merging last year. For example, Henry Cavill will not return as Superman, and many have wondered if other superheroes will also get new faces in the future. In the case of Batman, the answer is apparently more complicated.

In an interview with Collider says Batman director Matt Reeves that James Gunn and Peter Safran – the newly appointed leaders of DC’s film, series and game future – want to keep the DC Universe and the so-called BatVerse (The Batman, The Penguin and more) separate. The extent to which they are to be separated is to be agreed at meetings between the three parties in the coming weeks, in order to avoid overlapping in confusing ways.

Thus, it also sounds like Robert Pattinson will not be Bruce Wayne and Batman in other DC films than those in The Batman universe. Who do you think should take over from Ben Affleck in the DCU? We vote for Ben Barnes or Richard Armitage.
