VfB Stuttgart have found what they are looking for in Hungary for a potential successor to loan player Serhou Guirassy. According to the Hungarian ‘Nemeti Sport’, VfB are reportedly among the interested parties around Eduvie Ikoba. The 25-year-old American is currently chasing goals for Zalaegerszegi TE. The 1.93 meter tall right foot scored 13 goals in 32 games for the reigning cup winners. In terms of stature and physique, Ikoba would be the same type of player as Guirassy. Whether the 27-year-old stays on board depends largely on staying up in the league.

Celtic Glasgow have also put out feelers for the storm tank, who still has a contract with his club until 2025. Ikoba himself would not be averse to a move: “It’s still uncertain. From this summer my contract will run for another two years. (…) I don’t yet know what my future will look like, whether I will stay or go. If I could get a contract somewhere that would allow me to take another step in my career, I would consider the opportunity.”
